Frequently Asked Questions

Helpful answers to get you up and running without hurdles.

Where do I find my database credentials?

In your web hosting control panel (such as cPanel, Plesk, or DreamHost), look for the MySQL Databases section. Create a new database and a database user with full privileges, then note down the Database Name, User, and Password to enter into Step 2 of the setup wizard.

How do updates work in the future?

You will never need to upload files manually again. B2Builder features a built-in Software Updates engine in your admin dashboard. When a new version is released, an alert appears and you can update with a single click—complete with automatic pre-update site backups.

Is there any subscription or platform lock-in?

None whatsoever. You own the code, the database, and the files on your own server. You have complete freedom to move hosts, customize your design, and build without monthly CMS subscription fees.
